How the loss weights the STFT bins.

Variants

Flat

Every bin the same: the bins are evenly spaced in Hz, so the octave below 100 Hz gets about 0.5% of the weight and the fit gives the low end away (the hardware-validated 0.3 loss).

Octave

Bin weights ∝ 1/f above 40 Hz (each octave counts about the same), flat from 20 to 40 Hz, nothing below 20 Hz; normalised to mean 1 per resolution.
